With a background in graphic design, photography was always part of the job for Jim Uhing. His upbringing in Pennsylvania instilled in him a love for nature, wildlife and the outdoors. His passion is creating awareness in others about the natural world that surrounds them. Now a local resident of Longwood, FL, Jim spends a lot of time in the woods that surround the Wekiva River basin. Jim likes to capture the emotion and character of the wildlife or even the landscape there. “A sun rise in the lush tropical hammocks can truly speak to you”, says Jim. “Many times it’s not the photograph you capture, but the experience you have doing it.”
